Daisy DancerDaisy is a 15hh TB X Welsh Section D Mare out of a top H.I.S. stallion 'Still Time Left'. She is a lovely forward going and willing ride and will do absolutely anything for attention. She loves her own company and doesn't really like other horses, although she will tolerate them when hacking - so long as they don't get too close. Purchased in 2003, she has taught me more than I wanted to know about handling stroppy Alpha Mares! She's now 8 and we now have a fantastic working relationship and I would move a mountain for her, as she does for me every time I get on! My daughrter has ridden her on the lead-rein since she was a toddler and she often rides to school on her. Children generally love Daisy because she is beautiful and will stand all day to be fussed and talked to. She loves children and has always been kind to them, however she is not so friendly with teenagers and adults and hold a special dislike of men - please be careful as she will nip and given opportunity kick you - especially if she thinks you are near her apple tree (ask Mick tee hee)
Registered 10.2hh Welsh Mountain Section A childrens pony. Purchased from the meat man for £25 after an auction in 2004, we bought her home and popped a child aboard only later to find that she had only previously been a brood mare and never broken! She later progressed onto doing the school run along the main road and down the beach without turning a hair - a true star! Sadly, Merrylegs suffers from Laminitis which has to be managed by a strict diet - it makes me cry to fit her grazing muzzle in Spring and Autumn as she really doesn't deserve it, but it is necessary to keep her healthy. She also has a hip problem and we get Dr Dave Siemens (top USA Chiropractor) to manipulate her whenever he's in the area. She gets a cute little rear-end swing going on before he visits, but it's so nice to see her walking normally afterwards. She loves to trot.

Burty Bassetalso known as 'B', Bumble and Wussy 2rugs (W2R)W2Rs is a 16.1hh Piebald Irish Cob gelding. He was purchased during the summer of 2007 and has slowly come back into work from a year off (previous owner had a new baby). What he lacks in looks, he makes up for by being the ultimate safe but forward going hacking horse. He's very safe to be around despite his size and for some reason I enjoy riding him the most - probably becuase he is so simple and can be outwitted even by me without effort! He hates being shouted at. W2R is the most wussy horse ever - in the first 4 months of us having him, he has had a dust cough (that's why I soak all the hay), hoof bruising, been shod because he refused to walk barefoot across the stones, choke and colic (twice), a unknown virus, a shoe clip twisting into his sole and suspected pneumonia (although in the end the vets agreed that it was probably a combination of his dust cough and being a wuss). He wears 2 rugs becuase he gets cold. A young 10.2hh Welsh Mountain Section A - purchased at an auction straight from the moors. She is still quite nervous of humans and especially men or anyone with something in their hand! She is very gentle and safe to be around and hopefully in time will become as bombproof as Merrylegs. She responds best to children and is never pushy with them - presumably they are not perceived as a threat to her!
6 month old Piebald gypsy cob colt foal who is so laid back he is positively horizontal. Loves humans and takes up a lot of my time scratching him, which he will stand all day. Pictures to follow |

You are very welcome to come and talk to us about horses, but unfortunately we do not have adequeate insurance to allow visitors to ride the horses.
